About the Hike

Hike Description

Contact leader via email for reservation. A gentle hike along the MST to a small but lovely waterfall and return. We'll have views along the BRP on the drive up to Mt. Mitchell Road where the hike begins.

Scout Report

Jim and I ventured out to scout this lovely hike. We found the trail in good shape. The trail follows the MST just off 128 and goes toward Mt Mitchell and we end at the creek and small waterfall. The trail is rocky in a few areas. We made our way to the waterfall and had a leisurely creekside snack enjoying the falls and creek. The weather was a nice relief from the heat in Weaverville. This is a great hike when you want to get out into the forest for a leisurely hike to a sweet waterfall and creek.
