About the Hike

Hike Description

*Hike canceled due to injury sustained by the leader.* Contact hike leader for reservation. Limit of 15 hikers. This shorter version of hike 578 begins on the MST as it crosses FS 816. We hike along the MST for 2 miles, enjoying the conifer forest and views along the way. The Little Sam Knob Trail will take us down to the Flat Laurel Creek Trail and a return to the FS 816 parking lot. Along the way we may see the carnivorous Sun Dews and other fall wildflowers. We end with a 1/3-mile road walk back to the cars.Topos: Sam Knob
