About the Hike

Hike Description

Contact hike leader for reservation. Limit of 15 hikers. This shorter version of hike 578 begins on the MST as it crosses FS 816. We hike along the MST for 2 miles, enjoying the conifer forest and views along the way. The Little Sam Knob Trail will take us down to the Flat Laurel Creek Trail and a return to the FS 816 parking lot. Along the way we may see the carnivorous Sun Dews and other fall wildflowers. We end with a 1/3-mile road walk back to the cars.Topos: Sam Knob
