About the Hike
Hike Description
Contact the leader by email for reservation. Limit of 10 hikers. Navigate to 80 Lake Drive and park on the street. Beginning at the Biltmore Lake Clubhouse flagpole (restrooms available) we'll walk the Lake Loop counterclockwise to the Pink Beds Trail, navigate a few streets and stairs to get to the trailhead on Scott Mountain and enter Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy land. We'll walk a forest road with lake and mountain views to the power line cut, and back down to the Biltmore Lake community, where we'll take the Appalachian Morning Trail back to our start. This hike includes brief neighborhood street connections as well as some Enka history. This is hunting season, wear orange.
