About the Hike

Hike Description

This hike is posted under Hike 737. Contact the hike leader via email for reservation. The Noland Divide Trail begins as a steady climb along the southern boundary of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As we climb, we will experience expansive views of the southern Smoky Mountains. There is a short spur trail to the Lonesome Pine Overlook. The overlook offers commanding views of the Nantahala Mountains across the Tuckasegee River Valley, as well as Bryson City almost directly below. This is our lunch spot, and we will take the same trail back to our cars. NOTE: A parking pass is required for each vehicle in the GSMNP.
