National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort dedicated to caring for our shared public lands, and this year the Carolina Mountain Club will celebrate by giving back to one of Western North Carolina’s most iconic landscapes—Max Patch. Join fellow volunteers for a rewarding day of trail maintenance as we help preserve this beloved section of the Appalachian Trail for the thousands of hikers who enjoy it each year. Whether you’re an experienced trail worker or joining us for the first time, you’ll make a lasting difference while enjoying the camaraderie, fresh mountain air, and spectacular views. CMC provides the tools, instruction, and experienced crew leaders—you provide the willingness to lend a hand.
